This morning, I received such a blessing and my heart is so thankful for what God has done and continues to do in my heart. I asked my husband just yesterday morning, if and what changes he has seen in me since I gave my heart to Jesus.
His answers were profound and I am thankful that he and I communicate so well together. God has truly blessed the two of us in our marriage, and it just multiplies because He lives in each of us, and is the center of our marriage. Today, we truly watch what we say and how we say things instead of just blurting them out. And there are times we know it will hurt the other one, but we state before we ever begin, that we love one another, and please listen with the love I am saying into this "thought".
Each Monday morning, first rattle out of the box at our office, I have contact with a woman that I don't see the rest of the week. Today she stepped in and said, I want to share something with you. She went on to totally bless me with a conversation that happened about 3 weeks ago between herself and a woman she was training. I had never seen the trainee before, and for two weeks, we found ourselves having a short conversation. The two things that we as women do not hear often enough that came from this stranger's lips were:
1) She is beautiful
2) She is so nice
It blew me away, and for that I can't help but reflect on the thought, are we aware of those eyes watching us? Those ears that are listening to us? She used her eyes to see and her ears to listen to how I interacted with her. Those eyes and ears are someone that we don't even know, a complete stranger. Yes, even someone that is in a service type employment. Yes, even someone that perhaps is in authority over us.
Colossians 4:6 "Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone."
3 John 1:4-6 "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. Dear friend, you are faithful in what you are doing for the brothers, even though they are strangers to you. They have told the church about your love. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God."
I have no idea who else this lady would have shared her experience with from here at my office, but one thing I do know, is that she did share with one, that came back to bless me with what she saw from me. I praise God for the change in me, and for the LOVE I have received from God, to turn around, and pour back out onto others. Not only are we not aware of those on this planet watching and listening, but we truly need to be made aware of God who is listening and watching us.
Father God, I pray that for those that read Higher Grounds and myself. May they and I, today, be aware of our actions and reactions to bring Honor and Glory to Your Name. In the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

I'm sure this blessed your heart at a deep level. Beyond the spoken word, I want my life to read with the truth of those spoken words. I don't want to be fake in my actions and attitudes toward others. I want to breathe with the genuine love that God has placed in my heart and continues to fill me with everyday.
I'm so glad that God continues to change me. The deeper he goes, the pickier he gets. Perfect because he's all about my continuing on to my perfection.
Have a blessed week. Thanks for sharing your heart.

Amen! This is a question that I need to ask myself daily! We come into contact with so many people, and I really do need to be aware of what I show those that are watching. And there are many who watch. When someone who is not a Christian, knows that you proclaim to know Jesus, that person will sometimes watch you like a hawk, every word you speak, and every move you make. I am talking to myself here, I need to become more aware, and become more like Jesus!
You are beautiful because you are a women of grace!! You are a blessing to me dear friend and we deserve those kinds of "pats on the back" now and then...really...it was from God to you-you know that!!
In His Graces~Pamela
It does do our hearts good, doesn't it, to know that what we're earnestly trying to live is actually showing on the outside - our interior and exterior line up and point straight to God.
You are a lovely witness to the faith - not only to those in your workplace, but to those of us in the blogosphere as well!
Love to you this day,
Melinda
Even though I can only see your beautiful face in your pictures, your beauty shines through in your words.
Whenever you speak words of encouragement or words to spur us on when we are going through a period of sadness or whatever...those words typed out are full of grace.
The only place we get that...is from the Holy Spirit that dwells in us. You are definitely a Romans 12:8 woman, Yolanda!
You strenthen, encourage, comfort, console and all of that gift of "Paraklesis" from the Holy Spirit is done with love and grace.
GOD is all over, in and around you and it shows! You keep serving HIM with the unveiled face as it radiant beauty and the HIS love!
Love and blessings,
Teri
