Girlfriends, I pray that today you will leave here encouraged. I've been needing a good dose of encouragement myself the past few days and I feel refreshed this morning. The SUN has risen this morning so I am assured that God has a purpose for me this very day. I pray that I'm receptive to what He has for me and what He has for you as well.
I'm in Psalms and as David shared his heart and his walk I think to myself, oh I can't say that because of poor choices, or I'm not there yet so I can't boast in that. YET, doesn't that word encourage you? YET....my slate has been wiped clean and so from that moment forward I can boast and make right choices. You can as well!
These two verses especially but many from Psalm 25 NIV just consumed me this morning:
"Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long."
If we allow Him to show us, teach us, guide us and to realize that HE is our Lord, HE is our truth, HE is our God and Savior, and that HE is our hope not for a moment, not for a circumstance, but ALL THE DAY LONG. Twice David asks for the Lord to teach him.
Father God, I praise You for giving me such a cool drink of water this morning from the LIVING WATER. I praise You that You have another day for me here on this earth and may I step into the role and gifting You have for me. I don't know what that is for this day, but I know that I only want Your will and that You are my God and my Savior. Teach me Lord, teach me. The SON has risen in my heart and I am boasting in Your goodness. I love you Lord. Amen.
Love to you as you dig into God's word for your own lives....let's live today, ENCOURAGED.

Teri has that scripture on a plaque back in her office...It jumped out and grabbed me one day when I took my lunch back there with my bible to study...
I know you are walking on air today...your feet still hasn't touched the ground yet this morning has it?
Psalms will do that to you everytime...something precious about that book...

I love the book of Psalms.
I was looking at a Scripture this morning in Psalm 56 and in the margin I have written "God not only gives His children permission to cry, He encourages it. Over and over in His Word God calls upon His children to cry to Him and to cry out to Him. We rarely find record of deliverance until we do."
I'm so thankful we have a God who welcomes our honesty. It breaks my heart for you Yolanda about your situation with your earthly father.
Stay close to your heavenly Father.
He will never leave you nor forsake you.

I love the title of your post today! "The sun has risen".....the Lord has given us another day to worship Him. And also, it just reminds me that we can do that because the SON has risen and sits and the right hand of the Father! Praise His Name!

Thank you for sharing that we will always be learning something everyday from God. Sometimes it's in the smallest of things, and sometimes it involves something bigger.
I hope I always have God's eyes to see the things in my life, I have YET to learn and be open enough to learn them well.

He is so willing to teach us if we will only open up our eyes, ears, and heart. He taught/reminded me of the fact that He has a plan--a good plan---a plan that He is in complete control of.
