Have you ever thought, "Lord, why am I doing this?" Or perhaps, "Again?" Or even "Why do I feel like I'm not supposed to let go of this?"
I most certainly have and I saw something beautiful and felt like God gave me an answer for those very questions that I've been asking. You must know that in the midst of my asking I know He always has you and I doing "what-ever" to simply bring GLORY AND HONOR TO HIS NAME. But this afternoon I wasn't looking for an answer to my questions, I was simply reading along in Luke when...there was my answer.
"Master," Simon replied, "we worked hard all last night and didn't catch a thing. But if you say so, we'll try again." Luke 5:5 NLT
BUT IF YOU SAY SO, MASTER, I'LL TRY AGAIN.
Later Jesus tells Simon to not be afraid as well as from now on you'll be fishing for people.
Father, MASTER, LORD OF MY LIFE, I will get up, grab Your life-line and try again. I know that You do not want me being afraid. I also know that I am compassionate and that further gives me reason to try again. Thank You Lord, for speaking to me and giving me the ears to hear and eyes to see. Thank You for not being finished with me....yet. In Christ's Name, Amen.
Lovingly clinging to my Lord and Savior as He calls me to Higher Grounds,
Yolanda

I've read that so many times and each time I do what He wants. But I admit to it being hard many times. My pastor said, "Do not doubt, believe," this weekend in regard to Doubting Thomas. I think it goes along the same lines.
I need to commit this verse to memory each time I simply want to throw in the towel and give up.
For now, I will look to God and say, I will Try again!

Oh, sweet sister, we must never give up and Praise God that He gives us time to try things again!
I was so touched by your comment on my blog. THANK YOU! Today, I needed the affirmation to keep on keeping on. GOD BLESS YOU, andrea
"But if you say so Master, I'll try again." -- Yolanda that speaks volumes to me where I'm at right now. Sometimes I just get so frustrated when I have to keep tryin n trying... or do overs. But I love these verses. I'm engraving them as well.
IF YOU SAY SO LORD... I'LL TRY AGAIN. YES LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wonderful words...so neat how God gets our attention while we are seeing his answers. My friend calls them bunny trails, b/c we start out reading something thinking it's going to answer in a certain way, and then out of left field, boom. He takes you down another trail and "there's your answer!"
Ha! Does this speak to me. Thanks for reminding me of this passage in scripture, Yo. You just don't know...He always knows what we need.
I am learning about trying again a lot just now Yolanda. I love your posts they encourage me so so much.

sometimes we are just handed those 'if you say so'moments and God watches to see what we will do with them. It is often hard to just do the thing again, but He will reward our diligence.
Good thoughts.

This made my heart flutter. Sounds silly, I know. Something to think about today as it relates to my circumstances. Thank you Yolanda!
Much love to you!
Amen. xx
How awesome that in His infinite grace and love He ALLOWS us to try again! I'm in awe of Him... thanks for the thoughts, Yolanda!
For some reason when I read this post it reminded me of the little children's video my granddaughter watches of the little train that didn't think he could make it up the mountain but he just kept trying again and again and finally made it over the top! It's so easy to give up. I want to all the time it seems. But with God's help I know all of us can "try again".
Love ya my friend!

Keep to it, Yolanda. The sky will clear soon and you'll find your footing.
Thanks for staying the course. Your Father is well-pleased, Yolanda.

Great verse... try again! God is King of patience and perseverance. I guess that means I should strive to be more like Him and not give up:) Thanks for the encouragement. Love, Laurie
This is all due to the molding, shaping and sculpting that the Potter is doing to us...forming us into His desire for us, because we have free will sometimes it takes repeted molding on the same area-because we make it look ugly and it has to be corrected. I Love this post...
Blessings
Tessa
How beautifully you put it, Yolanda!
Yes, reading it that way, such a tender moment of trust and obedience.
I'll try again if you say so, Lord.
I won't give up.
So worth following...
I'll try again and again...
This post really moved my heart.
Love
