Preparation

Perhaps today or in the days ahead you know for a fact that you will be placed in the enemy's territory and I wonder, what is it that you will do to prepare yourself for that time?

As a Believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, I know there will be times of testing. I also know that this is the call on every one of our lives to go out and spread the LIGHT of Christ.

I am leaning on God's word today and clinging to a scripture memory from 2009. Deut 31:6 ESV "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you." This is a promise for me and I stand upon it. I am not to dread or be in fear for the LORD goes with me. Sweet Jesus, thank You.

I can tend to worry when I know that I'll be stepping into a dark situation that I could or might get ahead of God. That I will say things that will stir the already muddy and murky waters. I've been praying for days that the Lord would put his hand over my mouth. Look at what the Lord blessed me with this morning, in my devotion time, a precious scripture that I'm going to commit to pray and learn in the next few days. "Set a guard over my mouth, O LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips." Psalm 141:3 NIV.

As well as 1 Peter 5:8 NIV "Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour."

I am trusting the Lord to protect me as well as to guide me! Obedience to what the Holy Spirit is speaking to me and to God's word as well is key!

Knowing that we will face the enemy's territory, it is then important to know and read scripture, to pray for guidance, to trust the Lord in the situation and to be obedient to the Holy Spirit and God's word.

Father, Thank You for placing with-in my heart the desire to not go where you do not lead me. The fact remains that without you, I am a mess and I make a mess. Lord, I'm not the only one facing something that is difficult today, tomorrow or the day after. I ask Father that You would calm our anxious hearts and LEAD us. Knowing that we are the Light Of The World, and darkness can not over take us. May our LIGHT cause darkness to flee in the mighty saving name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
