"Miss Yolanda, did you know that I have a frog and a fish at home? And we are gonna get a bigger aquarium?" I replied, "No Sweetie, I didn't. What kind of a fish do you have?" My sweet little girlfriend said, "It is a golden fish, and its name is Silver." "Sweetie, who named your goldfish, Silver?" "I DID!" she answered with a huge grin across her face.
Yep, that was the conversation that I had today with one of my little girlfriends at church that I love so much. This evening, God brought that back to my mind and I heard Him in my spirit say, "That is how I am. What the world sees and what I call you are two different things. The world wants to throw those I love away, but I see your heart and I see GOOD."
I love the purity of little ones and I love that MY GOD is PURE and He is GOOD!
Father, Thank You for beautiful reminders of You through the little children. Thank You that You see good and You see so much that the world never even catches a glimpse of as they are looking at the outside but You...You are all about the inside. I want to be like You Lord. I do. Amen.
Simple lesson that packs a punch! Lovingly, Yolanda at Higher Grounds

What a cute post. I love to talk to the little ones at church.
Have a blessed week!

I think God so delights to use HIs smallest creations to cause those of us who are adults to pause and think. What a precious story!!

Oh Yolanda! I love what God showed you in the words of this sweet child.
I was feeling kind of down on myself this morning and this is the reminder I needed.
Love You my Friend!
Yolanda,
I love this so much! Especially the statement that you made about what God must say about His children: "What the world sees and what I call you are two different things."
I really needed this reminder today!

Stunning, the distance between what we see and what God sees! His vision is so much better; praying we all take a close look in his Word this week to receive our "labeling" from him and not the world.
Happy Thanksgiving, friend.

I love this post! Thank God that those of us who have messed up are still loved by God. He won't turn His back on us. No, He offers us His willing, nail-scarred hands every time.

"What the world sees and what I call you are two different things. The world wants to throw those I love away, but I see your heart and I see GOOD."

How beautiful!! I truly thank the Lord for His children who remind us of who we are in Him. And of course I thank Him for His grace and mercy to see us as so. Yolanda, thank you for your walk and consistently pointing us toward His Word and His Truth. May God truly bless you today and everyday. Happy Day of Thanksgiving!!
What a great post my friend. I just love how God uses even the little ones to bring powerful lessons to us.
